The Miami Heat have enough talent to go around with two-time MVP LeBron James at small forward, All-Star regular Chris Bosh, and of course former NBA Final’s MVP Dwyane Wade. With Joel Anthony at the five spot, the Heat probably won’t get much scoring, but they will have a hard nosed defender who has established himself as a quality shot blocker at three per 36 minutes last season.
There is only one position on the court that has been criticized as the team’s weakest link and that is the point guard spot where Mario Chalmers has been listed as the starter. Carlos Arroyo, Eddie House, Patrick Beverley and Kenny Hasbrouck are the listed back-up’s. There has been talk of James’ possibly starting at point and Mike Miller taking over at small forward in his place. Still, with no confirmation of that happening at the moment, we will act as if Chalmers will be the starter come October 26.
