Miami Heat News Updates 10/31

Yes, even with the lockout, the Miami Heat have some news you will find interesting.  Below is a brief list of what you may or may not have missed.

-LeBron James has officially dropped out of the All Star World Classic, which not only has been postponed, but also has lost several other players including Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, and Russell Westbrook.  James cited several reasons for his drop including wanting to spend more time with his family.

-On a more sour note, David Stern announced recently that all NBA games would be cancelled through the end of November, seriously putting in jeopardy the prospect of a full 82 game season.

-Long time Heat announcers Eric Reid and Tony Fiorentino were inducted into the 2011 Sports Hall of Champions in a ceremony conducted at American Airlines Arena on October 19th.  This year’s inductees included Miami Hurricanes legend Michael Irvin and Florida Marlins championship manager Jack McKeon.
