Players allowed to begin working out at team facilities

The NBA has informed teams that players can return to working out in team facilities Thursday, even though the new labor agreement has yet to be ratified, according to several sources. Additionally, player agents also are allowed to begin speaking with team officials on Wednesday. This is setting up for NBA season starting up very soon. NBA training camps, as well as free agency are expected to start December 9th.

This is great news as it looks more and more likely that both the players and the owners will soon ratify the CBA and settle on the secondary issues. This will get us closer to the NBA season kicking off on Christmas. Hopefully the Heat can get the Mavericks in a rematch of the finals last season and do to them what the Bulls did to the Heat when they received their championship rings back in 2007.

Next week should be a very exciting time if you are a South Florida sports fan. The Winter Meetings for baseball general managers are set to begin Monday. You can expect the Miami Marlins to be very busy. Then a few days later, preparation for a much anticipated NBA season will begin. Hopefully next week, Miami can get even more talented players to bring their talents to South Beach.
