Heat vs. Hawks Preview

Tonight, the 20-7 Miami Heat go to Atlanta to take on the 18-9 Hawks in a big showdown in the Southeast Division. This is the Heat’s 3rd game of their 6 game road trip. On the season, Miami is 8-5 on the road and Atlanta is 9-4 at home.

Miami got their rhythm back on Friday night with a big win over Washington and are looking to continue the momentum. This is the third time the two teams meet this season, with Miami winning the last one in triple-OT without LeBron and Wade, so this will be a completely different game. Atlanta will be fighting hard to knock the Heat off, so that they can cut the Heat’s division lead down.

The way the Heat will win is by not committing turnovers and stopping Josh Smith. The Hawks are 7-0 this season when Smith scores 20 or more points. Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole, and LeBron need to take care of the ball when they are running the point, so that the Hawks don’t have as many opportunities to get free possessions and buckets. It should be a great one and don’t miss it! It’s on ESPN at 7pm EST!
