Preview: Heat (66-14) At Cavaliers (24-56)

Last time these teams played, the Miami Heat were in the midst of The Streak and the Cavaliers had just lost their star, Kyrie Irving, to injury.

That was on March 20th, less than a month ago.  Since then, The Streak has ended, but that’s probably the only thing that’s changed between the two teams — the Heat have won against pretty much all comers, most recently against the Streak-beating Chicago Bulls, while the Cavaliers just got stomped on in a 77-91 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

However, when the Cavs play the Heat, anything can happen — including coming back from a 27 point deficit, which the Heat did the last time these two teams played.

Also, crazy non-basketball things happened as well, including a ceiling link in Quickens Loan Arena…

…and the Cleveland fan that accosted LeBron.

LeBron probably will play in tonight’s game considering he flew with the team to Cleveland (Haslem, Battier, and Wade are out) but most likely won’t be playing too many minutes as

  1. The Kobe injury is in the back of everybody’s mind
  2. He won’t need to as the likes of Mike Miller, Norris Cole, and the Birdman (and of course JUWAN HOWARD!) can take care of the lowly Cavs.

My prediction?  Heat win by eight, LeBron plays the first half, and Mike Miller has a 20 point game.
