The Miami Heat will face the Brooklyn Nets or the Chicago Bulls in the next round of the playoffs. Chicago currently leads the series 3-2, with the opportunity to close out the series at home on Thursday.
If you’re a Heat fan, you should be rooting for the Brooklyn Nets — the Heat have had much more success against the Nets than the Bulls this season.
- The Heat score almost 14 more points per 100 possessions against the Nets than against the Bulls.
- The Nets also score almost six less points per 100 possessions against the Heat than the Bulls.
- In total, the Heat have outscored the Nets by 27 points per 100 possessions this season.
- By comparison, the Heat have outscored the Bulls by “only” 8 points per 100 possessions this season.
So all Heat fans should be hoping that the Nets can beat the Bulls in Chicago on Thursday — and then win Game 7 in Brooklyn. Unfortunately, I bet most Heat fans, like Hoodie Allen, have no faith in Brooklyn.
