LeBron shoved to the floor – Bulls’ Mohammed Ejected

CHICAGOLeBron James lifted the Miami Heat to another gut wrenching win against the Chicago Bulls last night. The Bulls, right on schedule, resorted to more dirty play.

Early in the second quarter, Nazr Mohammed committed a hard foul on James after he crossed half-court. The two briefly became tangled up and James tossed him to the floor. Mohammed then rises up and shoves James in the chest, causing him to tumble to the floor. Mohammed was immediately ejected from the game. As he leaves the arena, he receives a standing ovation from the home crowd.

I couldn’t understand why the fans were so elated. Mohammed’s boneheaded play, hurt his own team, leaving the already shorthanded Bulls even more expended. The back-up center ended up with one rebound, a personal foul and zero points — clearly no cause for a celebration.

If the Bulls want the lead the series in technical fouls and ejections, go right ahead. We’ll look to lead the series in points scored.

LeBron kept his cool and the Heat took the lead in the series 2-1. If Chicago has any hope of competing in this series, Derrick Rose should suit up for Game 4.
