Grover told Riley he saw superstar potential in Wade and 10 years later, he could have not been more right. And Riley couldn’t have been more right for going with his gut and drafting Wade over Kaman.

What Wade has done for the Miami Heat franchise cannot be matched by any other superstar. Wade brought glory to a small-market franchise, and delivered the team’s first championship.

Remember this Dwyane Wade?

Wade was the main architect behind the Big 3 coming together and even took a back seat in his prime to allow Lebron James to take a leadership role.

It’s no wonder Magic Johnson called Wade “the most unselfish superstar in NBA history.”
