Now that the 2012-2013’ NBA season has come to a close, the reality of a long and boring offseason is beginning to set in. Although the Heat no longer are a team with lots of salary cap space to sign big time players (because they already have three themselves), the offseason, in my opinion, is a fantastic time.

With the season over, we are no longer able to see superstars like LeBron James, or Dwyane Wade, but what we do get to see is the other side of the game, watching Pat Riley use his magical power to sign basically any player he wants. We’ve seen him do it by signing the Big Three and also by being able to persuade players such as Ray Allen to switch teams late in his career, with the promise of winning an NBA championship (a promise that Riley delivered on).

It is no secret that the Miami Heat need to find a way to get younger. Norris Cole is the only player on the roster that is younger than the age of 25. Although I don’t believe they should go around trading certain players in order to gain back some youth, I think there are a couple of players who could greatly contribute to this Heat team. Below are the top three free agents that I believe the Miami Heat should attempt to sign, or at the very least, seriously look at, during the offseason.
