1. Kyle Korver – Atlanta Hawks: 2012 Salary $5 Million
Ray Allen and Mike Miller; are two of the most deadly strikers in the league. Over the course of the 2012-2013 season, these two players gave the Miami Heat great minutes. While the two of them were on the court, the defense always had to account for their assassin like skills to shoot the three-ball. Unfortunately, as of right now, no one knows whether either of them will be on the team next season. Although I do believe that Allen will be back for another season, I don’t see Mike Miller being a member of this team next season. Despite the fact that Allen should be a big part of this team next season, he isn’t getting any younger. It is important to have depth in this league to win a championship. The Spurs for an example, are a team that has had tons of success due to their incredible amount of depth. With Allen turning 38 this July, not 28…. will need some nights off. It is important to have a replacement for him. Who better than Kyle Korver? Although he has played a lot less years and has taken far less shots, Kyle Korver has a better shooting percentage from downtown career wise than Ray Allen. Over the past few seasons, Korver has been one of the best three point shooters in the game. With the chances of Mike Miller being back with the Heat being slim, the team will be able to spend a little bit of money. It could be real hard for Korver to turn down the potential of putting himself automatically in title contention. If he came to the Heat, he would receive so many good looks. With a lot of focus defensively being put on the big three, Korver would receive wide open threes.
