The Miami Heat advanced to the Las Vegas Summer League semi finals with a 82-76 victory of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Heat rode balanced scoring and tenacious defense to the victory. Five players, including Jarvis Varnado (13 and 12) and James Ennis (13), scored double figures for the Heat. However, it was their signature, high-energy, trapping defense that ruled the day.
The Cavaliers were led by Justin Harper (21) and Jermaine Taylor (20), but were held to 42% shooting and were forced into 16 turnovers.
Next up for the Heat is the winner of the Raptors/Suns quarterfinal.
