Opening Night A New Chapter In Bulls-Heat Rivalry

According to a report from the Sun Sentinel, the Heat are scheduled to open up the 2013-2014 NBA season against perhaps the most bitter of their rivals, the Chicago Bulls.

This was the game that made the most sense in the eyes of many. For the Bulls, what better scenario is there for the return of Derrick Rose, than against the 2-time defending champions? For the Heat, they get the opportunity to show off their rings against a team who has long been considered the biggest threat to their dynasty.

As certain games on the Heat schedule have leaked, the NBA got this one right. All the emotion, drama, and controversy that come along with Heat-Bulls over the Big 3 years, this will certainly add to it.

Dousing the flames with even more fuel, was Derrick Rose. He is quoted as saying he is the best player in the NBA, even after watching LeBron James win 2 MVP’s, 2 championships, and 2 Finals MVP’s since he last played a game.

October 29th couldn’t get here any faster.
