In a recent interview with CNN, Derrick Rose was asked about who the best player in the NBA is.
“Derrick Rose,” he replied.
What other answer could he give? Maybe he could have said LeBron James, the obvious (and correct) answer. But that was addressed later on, sort of, when asked about who the hardest player in the NBA to guard is.
“I would have to say LeBron,” Rose said. “A 6-foot-8 guy that’s 250 [pounds]. What do you think?”
I think that’s correct. Before we jump on Rose, I think we should jump on the interviewer, Pedro Pinto, for asking a dumb question. We knew what Rose was going to say, and what else should he say? Thankfully, he showed the proper respect by mentioning LeBron later on.
Rose, who is coming off an ACL-injury that kept him out all of last season, will have the chance to prove it opening night.
