Miami Police Admit LeBron's Escort Violated Policy

This was a mistake by LeBron James.

He won’t get in trouble, but he probably should not posted that Instagram video that basically said “Hey look at me, look how important I am. I have a police escort to the Jay Z concert. The rules of the road? Nah, those don’t apply to me either.”

Miami-Dade Police Department released a statement admitting that James should not have received the treatment.

“It has been brought to our attention that a video was posted on the Internet by LeBron James… shows him being escorted onto the property of Sunlife Stadium for a concert on Friday. Upon further investigation, it has been confirmed that the Miami-Dade Police Department did facilitate Mr. James from one intersection to another, in the adjacent area of the stadium. This was not a scheduled escort and although all safety precautions were taken, the department has identified these actions as a violation of departmental policy. The Miami-Dade Police Department will continue to look into the matter.”

This will blow over, but for someone who has overcome his public image following “The Decision,” James should know better than to put himself on a pedestal with an Instagram video of his police escort.

The photo of eating sandwiches with Kevin Hart would have sufficed to prove the point that he is cooler than us.
