The Missed Free Throw: What Was Dwyane Wade Thinking?

Even if you’ve already seen it, and just in case you haven’t, the Heat were stunned tonight by Brad Stevens, Jeff Green and Company as the Celtics stunned Miami 111-110.

This was a game that, by all intents and purposes, the Heat tried to give away due to their, at times, careless play.

Honestly, allowing 111 points to the Celts…AT HOME?

Ordinarily I’m a firm believer that the early portions of the season can’t be used to predict what happens in April, May, and June….however, the fateful mistake that Dwyane Wade made with 0.6 seconds left cannot be repeated at any stretch of the season.

After  missing the first of two free throws, DWade intentionally misssed his second free throw in hopes of hitting the rim and running down the remaining 0.6 left on the clock.

Unforunately, this happened.

Which of course, led to this:

So, what did we learn today everyone?

If you’re going to intentionally miss a free throw….at least hit the rim.
