Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is going Hollywood. No, I don’t mean he is opting out and signing with the Los Angeles Lakers and, yes, this is a cheesy lead.

Wade has sold a sitcom to Fox based on his life as a single parent and NBA star. The plot closley follows Wade’s life and is based on his book “A Father First,” according to ESPN.com.

The show is described as Wade and “his entourage of eccentric friends, find themselves parenting by committee, when he gets full custody of his two young sons. It’s a recipe made for disaster, but no matter how misinformed, misguided, or unfit Team Wade may be, they have a trump card that can’t lose. It’s called love.”

According to the report, it will draw some inspiration from “The Cosby Show.” Sweet. But seriously, I think this is a cool thing for Wade. His divorce saga recently concluded and while his book showed his desire to express himself and what he went through in his off-the-court struggle, this sitcom shows some humility and willingness to reflect and even laugh.

Wade has two children, Zaire and Zion. It is not yet known who will play Wade, or anyone else.
