Make it eight straight wins as LeBron James recorded 28 points, eight rebounds and eight assists to lead the Miami Heat to a 95-84 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday night.
Despite the obvious storyline that goes along with James returning to his hometown, it was business as usual for the Akron native who improves to 11-1 against his former team.
Though the Heat trailed by six points going into the second quarter they never seemed threatened. Dwayne Wade scored 22 and Michael Beasley had 17 points and a team-high nine rebounds as the Heat coasted to a win the night before Thanksgiving.
Speaking of Turkey Day, James will reportedly host the team at his Akron mansion for a Thanksgiving meal.
For Cleveland, some fans debuted the “Come Home, LeBron” campaign, which you can read more about here.
Kyrie Irving scored 16 points in the loss. Dion Waiters, who is the subject of many a trade rumor, scored a season-high 24 points.
