In a blowout game that turned into a close one, the Heat defeated the Raptors 90-83, to improve to 13-3. This was their 9th straight win, and their 12th win in 13 games.
For the Heat, LeBron James led the way with 27 points, along with 6 rebounds. Dwyane Wade delivered 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Ray Allen and Michael Beasley each added 7 points off the bench.
For the Raptors, DeMar DeRozan paced the team with 25 points. Rudy Gay added 21 points and 11 rebounds. Kyle Lowry scored 15 points, to go along with 6 assists and 4 rebounds.
The Heat were running away with this game mid way through the 3rd quarter, building up to a 20-point lead. Then Raptors made a furious run to get the game to 8 points at the end of the 3rd. They got the game down to 2 late in the 4th before the Heat pulled away.
This was another impressive game for Wade, looking more like the player we’ve known him to be. Hopefully his sudden show of explosiveness and effectiveness is here to stay.
The Heat are back home for their next game, a date with the Charlotte Bobcats on Sunday. Gametime is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
