Game Preview: Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls, 9:30 p.m.

Unfortunately for basketball fans everywhere, Thursday night’s game between the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls will not been the same-star studded affair seen opening night with both Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose out. The Heat (14-4, 5-2 away) travel to the United Center for a 9:30 p.m. tipoff against the Chicago Bulls (7-9, 5-1 home) Thursday night. You can find Heat @ Bulls tickets here.

The Rose-less Bulls have gone 1-4 since he tore his right meniscus late last month. Despite this, Chicago has won seven of the last 12 meetings since the Big 3 came together. The teams have split the six regular season meetings that Rose hasn’t been apart of.

Entering the contest, Miami looks to rebound from Tuesday night’s 107-97 defeat to the Detroit Pistons. The Heat, who were without Wade for the fourth time this season, looked to leading scorers LeBron James and Michael Beasley who closed with 23 points each, however it was not enough to extend its win streak to 11 games.Along with the absence of Wade, the Heat didn’t receive any help shooting the ball, as they posted a 43.9 percent from the field, a season low in that category.

Miami will have to roll with what they have on the roster, as Chris Andersen sits for personal reasons, and Wade remains a game-time decision for tonight’s rivalry renewed against the Bulls at the United Center.

Game Notes: The Bulls have shot 49.2 percent from the field over their last three contests….Joahim Noah, Kirk Hinrich, Mike Dunleavy, and Taj Gibson all played 40+ minutes in the Bulls 131-128 triple-overtime loss to New Orleans on Monday….Dwayne Wade has never missed a game (29) when returning to his hometown of Chicago….Including last season’s playoff series Miami has won five straight against Chicago.
