The Heat handily defeated the Jazz, 117-94, to improve to 18-6 on the season.
For the Heat, LeBron James led with 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. Dwyane Wade scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. Chris Bosh added 20 points and 6 rebounds.
For the Jazz, Alec Burks led all scorers with 31 points and 7 assists. Derrick Favors scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Enes Kanter finished 14 points and 8 rebounds.
The Heat shot 63.4% from the field, en route to putting up 117 points. They also won the battle of the boards 41-33, which is a significant thing these days. This is the 2nd game in a row that each member of the Big 3 was able to eclipse the 20-point mark in the same game. The newfound offensive aggressiveness from Bosh seems right on time as questions about Wade’s knee continues.
The defense also seems to be in order, as they held the Jazz to 46.4% shooting from the field, and 27.8% from 3-point range. The Heat also stole 10 passes, blocked 8 shots, and forced the Jazz into 14 turnovers.
The Heat’s next game is Wednesday night, in a rematch with the Indiana Pacers (20-4). The game is scheduled for 7:00 pm on ESPN.
