Breaking: Shane Battier Out Against Magic

Shane Battier will not play tonight for the Miami Heat, according to the Sun Sentinel.  Miami plays the Orlando Magic at 7 p.m. at the Amway Center.

Battier, who usually starts at power forward for the Heat, is inactive with a sore quad. Rashard Lewis will start in his place. Udonis Haslem could see more playing time due to the injury.

Battier is averaging 4.4 points per game this season. He scored 11 points, including hitting three of four three pointers, in the Heat’s loss to the Golden State Warriors Thursday night.

For the Magic, center Nikola Vucevic is out with a sprained left ankle.
