After missing five-consecutive games with the flu, Ray Allen is finally ready to return to for the Miami Heat’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves Friday night at AmericanAirlines Arena.
The news comes from Shandel Richardson of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, who reports that Allen lost one or two pounds while bedridden with the virus.
Allen said he is still working back into his routine after being bedridden for more than a week. It created quite the adjustment for Allen, who is known for his habitual workouts. Allen had to alter his well-planned schedule to handle the circumstances.
It should be expected that Allen will take a while to get back into rythm, especially considering he wasn’t able to keep up with his daily routines and rituals—which we all know is important to him.
Allen last played against Portland on March 24 and had eight points on 3-10 shooting. The report says Allen was starting to feel sick that night. The Heat are 4-1 in the games Allen missed.
