Philadelphia 76ers 100, Miami Heat 87
Recap | Box Score
Dwyane Wade: B+
6-14 FG, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 turnovers, 16 points.
On minutes restriction again, Wade started the game hot with nine points and four assists in the first quarter on a series of jump hooks, dunks and free throws. It was a bit of Wade we hope to see consistently in the playoffs.
Shane Battier: B+
3-6 FG (3-4 3FG), 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal, 9 points
One of the benefits of not playing LeBron James or Chris Bosh is getting some of the role players more time with the ball. In his final regular season game of his career, Battier got it going from beyond the arc. Battier made three of his four three-pointers and, hopefully, will keep that rhythm going into the playoffs.
Udonis Haslem: B+
3-4 FG, 10 rebounds, 7 points
A strong effort from Haslem in the last game, he has locked himself into the starting lineup going into the playoffs this last month. After struggling defensively at the end of last season and the beginning of this one, Haslem has really turned it up after a lot of rest.
Miami Heat: INC
30-73 (10-30 3FG), 17-22 FT, 34 rebounds to Philadelphia’s 35, 16 assists to Philadelphia’s 24, 19 turnovers to Philadelphia’s 18.
Another incomplete grade by the Heat tonight. In general, the team didn’t show up and went through the motions to get through this regular season. But chin up, Heat fans, it’s time for the playoffs. FINALLY.
