The Charlotte Bobcats nearly stifled the Heat in Game 1, coming out and surprising them with a dominating first quarter. But mostly all hope was lost when Al Jefferson had to leave the game and he wasn’t the same when he returned after receiving two pain killing shots in his foot.
But despite the pain, Jefferson has told reporters that he’s ‘good to go’ for tonight’s Game 2 against the Heat in Miami.
“I can’t say there won’t be some kind of pain,” Jefferson said of his status fir Game 2, via Rick Bonnell. “But I feel like every hour it’s getting better and better.”
While the Bobcats stand little to no chance of beating the Heat, Jefferson deserves a lot of credit for catching the Heat by surprise with his offense. But Miami is adaptable and they adjusted their game to fit both Jefferson’s offense and Jefferson’s absence.
A return by Jefferson at least gives promise to a competitive game, but the hope of the Bobcats beating the Heat is still slim to none.
