Charles Barkley Calls Miami Heat Roster 'Dead Weight'

The Miami Heat are a game away from becoming the first team to advance to the Conference Semifinals but not everyone is onboard with the way their roster is constructed. While it’s a roster that can beat the Bobcats and likely all others that they will face in the East, TNT analyst Charles Barkley is not someone who is touting the depth behind LeBron James or the talent around him.

Ira Winderman passed along Charles Barkley’s interesting description of the Heat roster:

“The key is going to be LeBron. You have to beat him four times. He has a lot of dead weight to carry. He has to score the most baskets and get all the rebounds. They are limited inside and will always struggle against big guys. They are vulnerable this year.”

Barkley has some valid points, as it’s not as though this incarnation of the Heat roster is the best we’ve seen since the Big 3 got to town. But at the end of the day, all the roster needs to do is get the job done and so far that’s exactly what has happened.
