Erik Spoesltra Says His Heart Goes Out to Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers saw their owner Donald Sterling banned for life today following racist comments he made, seemingly without any sort of remorse. But frankly, no one cares about Sterling or his racist hatred, as the thoughts of those around the NBA are with the players forced to be associated with him.

No one on the Clippers roster asked for this to happen and now that it has, everyone from fans to former players and even opposing coaches are sending out support. Erik Spoelstra, who happens to be working for one of the best owners in basketball, sent his support to the Clippers last night.

Per Ira Winderman:

“This is obviously a sensitive and difficult time for all of us. And the toughest thing is your heart goes out to the players and staff and organization that is dealing with this in L.A.”

Let’s hope that something like this never happens again as it’s a true black eye on the league. But it’s been a unifying incident as no matter the act that the Clippers and Heat are competing for the same title, everyone is in this together and it’s clear we’re all standing as such no matter what logo we wear on our chest.
