Heat vs. Nets Game 1: Erik Spoelstra Says Expect Lots of Lineup Changes

The Nets and Heat tip off their series tonight and fans are looking forward to what they can expect to see from both sides when things start to heat up. One thing we know we can expect is a lot of physicality as both teams will almost immediately try to get inside one another’s head.

Ask Erik Spoelstra what he expects out of the series and he’ll mention the rotations, as he told the Sun-Sentinel that he expects to see matchup changes almost constantly throughout the series.

Per the Sun-Sentinel:

“I think you’ll see a lot of different lineups with both teams in this series,” Spoelstra said. “You’ll probably see as much flexibility, versatility in these matchups as you’ll see anywhere in the playoffs… You just have to be ready for everything.”

This series will be a test for everyone on the Heat as while the players on the court are going to fight through mismatches, the coaches will have to adapt quickly and adjust lineups. This won’t be a series where the Heat sweep but quick thinking by Spo can make sure it’s one the heat come out on top of.
