Ray Allen Says He Hasn’t Talked to Kevin Garnett in Two Years

The Miami Heat are up a game on the Brooklyn Nets through one game in their series against one another and the drama only seems to be starting. There is noted bad blood between the Heat and Nets that traces back to the Heat-Celtics days of a few years ago.

Boston’s band picked up and moved on to Brooklyn but the animosity is still there and Ray Allen still hasn’t forgotten how his brothers in arms turned against him when he signed in Miami. According to Allen, he hasn’t spoke to nor tried to speak to Kevin Garnett in a few years.

Per the Sun-Sentinel:

“No,” Allen says when asked if he’s talked with Garnett over the last two years.

Has he tried?

“No, no,” he says.

Allen seems to think how this sounds, because he is a basketball gentleman in the way Garnett is only a basketball warrior.

Allen has no reason to talk to Garnett at the moment as they’re on different teams striving for the same goal only one can achieve. So far Allen has gotten the upper hand and he’s not going to let a friendship he can simply rekindle later on in life stand in his way.
