NBA Playoffs 2014: Chris Andersen Will ’1,000 Percent’ Play in Game 2

The NBA Playoffs are pressing onward and it appears that the Miami Heat will be getting back someone they can very much use as the postseason continues. Chris Andersen was a huge part of the Heat winning a second title in 2013 and he is on his way back to the Heat and should play in Game 2.

No inside source has passed along word that Andersen will play and it wasn’t leaked by beat writers — rather the Birdman himself told reporters that it will take a body bag to keep him from playing in Game 2 against the Brooklyn Nets.

Per the Sun-Sentinel:

After Wednesday’s practice, he said there is a “1,000 percent” chance he plays.

“I’m there,” Andersen said. “You’re going to need a body bag to keep me from playing.”

Even fans who are a little sore towards the Heat can appreciate what Andersen brings to the team as he’s the Dennis Rodman of this dynasty — and that’s not spoke at his aesthetic appeal. Birdman locks down the paint and has been a rebounding machine, specifically in big moments for the Heat, and that’ production they will gladly welcome back.
