Miami Heat 94, Brooklyn Nets 82
LeBron James: B
9-18 FG (0-3 3FG), 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, 2 turnovers, 22 points
Unlike his 22 points in Game 1, it seemed like LeBron had to work for his 22 points tonight. It took a little while for him to get going, hitting just one field goal until 2:40 left in the second quarter. Then LeBron woke up, scoring eight-straight points to close out the half.
Dwyane Wade: B
4-11 FG, 6-6 FT, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, 2 turnovers, 14 points
It seemed like Wade should have taken the night off for the first three quarters. Then, in the beginning of the fourth quarter, Wade went off for eight quick points and opened up Miami’s lead.
Chris Bosh: B+
7-13 FG (1-4 3FG), 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, 18 points
LeBron and Wade started slowly and passive, but Bosh was aggressive from the tip. His three blocks helped establish a presence in the paint.
Miami Heat: B
35-71 (10-24 3FG), 14-18 FT, 36 rebounds to Brooklyn’s 43, 17 assists to Brooklyn’s 19, 8 turnovers to Brooklyn’s 14
It took some grit to get this one, but the Heat kept it close until the fourth quarter and ended up winning comfortably. Miami attacked the paint and wanted to get LeBron involved in the post all night. The shots didn’t fall as often as they did in Game 1, but Miami found a way to win.
