Miami Heat played 1999 Heat-Knicks Highlight for Game 2 Motivation

The Miami Heat have been trying to get back to the NBA Finals for a fourth straight year with the idea of winning it for a third. One way that they’ve been getting hyped is by watching old highlight films from games of Heat legend and before Game 2 the team indulged in the 1999 Heat-Knicks playoff game in which Allan Houston hit an amazing jumper we can all remember.

Per Winderman:

Ultimate motivation? The Heat showed Game 5 of 1999 Heat-Knicks playoffs pregame in the locker room. If Allan Houston’s shot doesn’t motivate, nothing will.

The Heat don’t need much to stay motivated but it’s always nice to see that this team that critics blasted as being made up of nothing more than mercenaries are taking in the rich history of the team. It’s a history they’re all now a part of and it’s great that they new era is looking back and honor the old.
