NBA Playoffs 2014: Dwyane Wade Uncertain About Minutes Increase

The Miami Heat are up 2-0 in their series against the Brooklyn Nets but tonight’s win was about as brutal a win as they’ve had all postseason. Still, a win is a win and the guys the Heat needed to step up did and that’s the way it has been all season long.

But another thing that has happened is injuries and Dwyane Wade has suffered though his fair share. He’s just now starting to get back to his full minutes haul but has stated that he’s unsure he can handle a 40 minute load just yet.

Per the Sun-Sentinel:

And he’s in no hurry to test if he’s still able to do it. For now, Wade is content with his amount of playing time. He’s averaged 33.3 points in the postseason.

“I don’t know,” Wade said of when his minutes could increase. “We’ll see when the time comes.”

The bottom line is the Heat need Wade to be at his best and they need him on the court. Rushing him into a full load of minutes isn’t wise but if he can take it there’s no reason he can’t contribute.
