There’s no arguing that LeBron James is the face of the NBA and anyone he hangs out with instantly becomes even cooler than they already are. Johnny Manziel, who was recently drafted by the Cleveland Browns, already had an aura of cool around him which was only added to hanks to his relationship with LeBron.
Now that Manziel is a pro — and one playing for LeBron’s hometown team — the relationship is already growing.
Once Johnny Manziel didn’t go to his favorite team, LeBron James figured the destination was his old city.
And if Johnny Football needs someone to catch passes in Cleveland, how about King James? “Yeah, that’s possible,” James said Saturday with a smile. “Waiting for the ruling. That could be one of the problems and we’ll see what happens with that.”
LeBron and Manziel clearly have an interesting relationship and they’re only going to grow closer together now that it’s not illegal for them to hang out. Without the NCAA breathing down anyone’s neck, we can likely expect to see more Johnny Football at Heat gams and possibly more LeBron up in his native Ohio at Browns games.
