NBA Playoffs 2014: Eastern Conference Finals Likely to Start Sunday Night

The Miami Heat need to win just one more game and they’re off to the Eastern Conference Finals for a fourth straight year with the intention of winning their third straight title. But while the Heat aren’t quite yet in the Conference Finals, we can pencil in when the series is expected to start.

According to Ira Winderman, the Eastern Conference Finals will tip off on Sunday unless with there Nets or the Wizards force a Game 7 situation.

It’s worth noting that the Nets have already taken the Heat by surprise once in this series and the Wizards absolutely destroyed the Pacers in a comeback win on Tuesday so nothing at all is set in stone.

Still, it seems that we can pencil in that Sunday date and barring a historic meltdown, we can put the Heat there too.
