The Miami Heat will be welcoming to the Indiana Pacers to Eastern Conference Finals party that they’ve already punched a ticket to and now the two teams will once again collide for a spot in the Finals. But while the Pacers have struggled mightily this postseason, they’ve gotten hot and look to be a threat to the Heat after all.
Ray Allen recognizes that the work isn’t over yet and reiterated that after the Heat’s Game 5 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
“Every year it seems like it gets tougher and you have to work your way into that situation so you can get back. If you talk to anybody on this team, four straight years, you talk about all the trials and tribulations that we’ve been through to get here. It feels great. But still the job is not done.”
While the Heat have the right to be smug about their dominance, they continue to avoid going that route and instead lace their success with respect. That not only makes their wins more special, but it makes it hard to hate on them even if folks still feel the need to.
