Dwyane Wade Says Playing Pacers Is What Heat Envisioned

The Miami Heat are preparing to take on the Indiana Pacers this weekend to kick off the Eastern Conference Finals and the biggest story of all is that we are getting the series we thought we were going to get. Despite the drama, the pitfall and setbacks, the Heat and Pacers are nevertheless meeting in the Conference Finals and almost no one is surprised.

One person who is not in the least bit surprised is Dwyane Wade, who said that a series with the Pacers is exactly what everyone envisioned.

Per the Miami Herald:

“This is the matchup we envisioned,” Dwyane Wade said Friday, as Miami began preparation for Sunday’s Game 1 in Indianapolis. “It seems like you could have just gotten to this point a long time ago.”

It’s not exactly the series we all expected it to be as the Pacers are struggling mightily to prove their dominance, although they are entering the Conference Finals red hot. Miami is just better though in every way and while the matchup is what we thought it would be, it might end up being so in theory only.
