Heat Draft Rumors: Miami to Workout P.J. Hairston, Jordan Adams and Cleanthony Early

The Miami Heat are not usually a team that needs to worry about the Draft Lottery but that doesn’t mean they aren’t actively involved in the NBA Draft itself. Norris Cole came to the Heat not long ago in the draft and both Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers came to the Heat though the draft as well — although Beasley took some detours before returning.

When it comes to this year’s class, the Heat won’t have a high pick but they may be able to either watch a prospect fall to them or pull of a trade like they did she they acquired Cole. Making sure that all their bases are covered, the Heat are reportedly going to work out and/or meet with Cleanthony Early from Wichita State, P.J. Hairston from the Texas Legends and Jordan Adams from UCLA among others.

DeAndre Daniels is a guy who will almost certainly be available to the Heat when they go on the clock late in the first-round but they could pull off a trade that lands them a scorer like Hairston or a defensive project like Early.

Either way, the Heat are looking ahead to the draft and may come away with yet another gem.
