Dwyane Wade’s sacrifice to relinquish alpha dog duties to LeBron James in year two of the Big Three experiment is well documented. Some call Wade the Robin to LeBron’s Batman. I guess you could say Wade is the “other guy” on the Heat, though that seems inaccurate if you ask Heat fans in Miami-Wade County.
But Shaquille O’Neal thinks it works.
What Shaq said on TNT: “D-Wade doesn’t mind being the other guy. He’s won all of his championships being the other guy.”

What’s interesting about Shaq’s comments is that he played with Wade when the Heat won the NBA Championship in 2006. According to his comments, it would seem that Shaq believes he was The Guy on that ’06 team.
In fact, it was clearly Wade’s. Especially seeing how he put the team on his back to beat the the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals.
