One of the pressing questions we all have about the Miami Heat is if the Big 3 will remain intact this offseason and if all three members will come back. The biggest piece of the puzzle seems to be LeBron James as no one knows for sure if he plans to opt out or stay in Miami.
Dwyane Wade told Jeff Zillgitt of USA TODAY Sports that Heat fans shouldn’t hold his health against him if LeBron James decides to leave Miami this summer.
But truth is, when James looks at his options and tries to determine which team has the best shot of winning a championship next season and beyond, a healthy Wade makes the Heat’s chances of keeping James.
“Just don’t solely put it on me,” Wade said, laughing. “That’s what I’m saying. Don’t put the X on me. … There’s a lot that goes into, so just don’t say, ‘If Dwyane Wade doesn’t have the year that we’re accustomed to, it’s over.’ “
No one is going to hold anything against wade unless he also leaves Miami to play somewhere else. That likely won’t happen anytime soon though as the Heat Big 3 don’t have many good reasons to break up at the moment. We could see LeBron and Wade go the Kevin Garnett/Paul Pierce route and bolt to different teams but the most likely case sees them stay in Miami even if Wade’s health never gets back to where it used to be.
