While the Indiana Pacers may have won Game 5 on Wednesday night, the win itself is not the talk of the NBA today. Rather, Lance Stephenson blowing in LeBron James’ ear is and that right there shows you the difference between these two teams.
It was a move to faze LeBron but it failed as the Heat were in good spirits after the game, seemingly unbroken by the ear blowing incident. After the game, LeBron was asked about Stephenson’s antics and directly compared him to a woman.
I blew in my wife’s ear before. That was definitely a defensive tactic.

It’s cute that the Pacers are more focused on being goofy than they are winning the series and that’s the difference between these two teams. There’s no doubting that this was a hilarious moment, but it also shows a lack of focus as action away from the ball is Lance Stephenson’s specialty where winning playoff games is the specialty for Miami.
There’s a chance that the win in Game 5 got the Pacers back in this series, but it’s far more like that the Pacers got lucky and the highlight of their season, the thing they’ll be most remembered for this postseason, is having one of their players blow in the ear of LeBron James.
Season well played Indiana.
