Chris Andersen Active for Game 6

Editor’s note: This article was rewritten to reflect the latest updates in regards to Chris Andersen. (UPDATE: 7:50 PM ET) Chris Andersen is active tonight after missing the last two games with a thigh bruise. Michael Beasley and Justin Hamilton are inactive.

Despite missing him for games 4 and 5, Miami hasn’t taken a major step back without Birdman. Spoelstra has opted to start Rashard Lewis in his two absences, slotting Udonis Haslem as the third big.

According to Bleacher Report’s Ethan Skolnick, Spoelstra will keep Lewis in the starting lineup and bring both Haslem and Andersen off the bench.

It’ll be interesting to see how much time Spo gives to Bird as he returns from injury.

After missing the past two games with a thigh bruise, Andersen received treatment and underwent exercises to test his thigh and determine his status for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals Friday night, the team Tweeted.
