LeBron James Opt-O-Meter: After Heat Eliminate Pacers in Game 6

Editor’s note: After every playoff game the All U Can Heat staff weighs in on the “LeBron James Opt-O-Meter” — the real-time measurement of LeBron’s mood in regards to whether or not he will stay in Miami after he opts out of his contract this summer. It’s not difficult to understand: 1 means he’s gone, like ‘Seeyuh, Miami, I’m going to Los Angeles’ gone. 10 means he’s staying, like already signed the contract in red gel pen staying. Like going in on South Florida-based investments with David Beckham staying. The reading is the average combined rating from the AUCH staff.

5/30 Opt-O-Reading: 200,008 + laughter(?)

Ross Gottschalk: 9.999. It’s only not an absolute ten because: “nothing is impossible, except for dinosaurs.” – Tracy Jordan

David Ramil: 10. Defeating your “rival” by 30 might be more of an indication how bad Indiana is, but it’s also exactly why James came to Miami. Perfect game, perfect result. Now, he can look past that jackass Stephenson and prepare for Duncan or Durant.

Jimmy Cook10. They made me look smart. I said they’d bury the Pacers, but I never could have imagined it’d be 2013 Eastern Conference Finals Game 7 all over again. No more Lance! No More Pacers! “They are dead and gone, dead and gone yay-e-yay-e.” Quoting JT, that’s how pumped I am! The Heat now join the Boston Celtics(’57-’66, ’84-87) and the Los Angeles Lakers(’82-’85) as the only teams to make it to 4 straight NBA Finals. Now Miami has their sights set on one word: Dynasty. LeBron wouldn’t leave that even if you paid him. The final quest for the Trey by the Bay begins in 6 days, and the Heat are ready. Destiny Awaits. 12 down, 4 to go.

Ehsan Kassim: 1,000,000,000. Four straight trips to the NBA Finals. LeBron cannot do that anywhere else.

Chris Posada*Sounds of laughter*

Wes GoldbergI feel bad that Ross now has to divide the sum of a million and sounds of laughter. So, I’ll go with 10. Also, the chances of LeBron opting out diminish due to the fact that Lance Stephenson is also a free agent, and LeBron doesn’t want to ever be in the same place as that guy ever again. Even an idealogical one.
