The Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs are set to tip off their NBA Finals rematch on Thursday, but before we go looking ahead to what is next for these two teams it’s high time we look back to see where we got here.

We’re not talking about looking back to the 2013 NBA Finals or even the 2007 NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs. Rather, we’re going all the way back to 1999 when Tim Duncan Won his first NBA title with the Spurs and LeBron James was just a freshman in high school.

Is that a total trip or what?

It’s funny to think that just four years later LeBron James would be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft and it’s an even bigger trip to compare what he is now to that photo from high school.

It’s amazing to think that LeBron James has grown so much and it’s something that will no doubt amuse us all while making us all feel incredibly old.
