The NBA Finals have arrived and we’re less than 24 hours away from tip off for a series that will no doubt be just as classic as it was last season. But while we’re getting all hung up on how this series will compare to last season’s series, we’re forgetting how obsessed we are with LeBron James’ legacy and what a third straight title means to it.
One person who could care less about all of the LeBron legacy talk is LeBron James himself. The former MVP noted this week that while everyone talking about his legacy and what it means may be cute on the surface but to him it’s just plain stupid.
LeBron: “I don’t really care about what people say about me.” Said he thinks the talk about his legacy is “stupid.”

This is actually exactly what we should want to hear from LeBron as it show s he’s not focused just on advancing his own personal legacy and is instead trying to achieve greater things as a team with the Heat.
Folks get hung up on LeBron not being a team player and only going to Miami to win titles, but he’s winning them with other players just as dedicated and that right there proves why LeBron is held in such high regard.
