The Miami Heat got thumped in Game 3 of the NBA Finals this week and it has a lot of fans calling out certain players for their performances — or lack thereof. One of the most criticized players from the series so far is Miami heat point guard Mario Chalmers, who has underwhelmed in just about every way imaginable and has garnered an insane amount of hate along the way.
Chalmers is very aware of his slacking though, and while he’s not offering up specific solutions on how to make things better, he knows that something needs to happen.
Chalmers: “I think everybody else is doing their job and I’m being that guy that’s not helping out. I don’t want to be that guy.”

Chalmers is in a rough spot as he’s playing for a future contract with either the Heat or someone else and his poor play is actually working in the Heat’s favor of being able to fairly offer him a low contract. But if he keeps playing the way he’s playing, it’ll be hard to find a contract anywhere as he’s disappearing at the worst possible time for himself and Miami.
