The Miami Heat got bounced hard out of the NBA Finals and a lot of people are rightly blaming the utter mess that the point guard position has become. Mario Chalmers played his way out of any sort of respectable contract and may have played his way off the Heat roster.
As a result, the Heat are going to be looking for a replacement this offseason and while names like Kyle Lowry are being kicked around, Moke Hamilton brings up Ramon Sessions and it makes sense before he can finish saying it.

Sessions isn’t an elite point guard but the Heat don’t need that. Clearly, as we saw with Chalmers, all Miami needs is someone who will do their job and then get out of the way when they’re not needed.
That’s what Sessions can bring, as well as a veteran presence that this Heat team needs in the postseason more than we apparently knew. He’s not a slam dunk option, but he’s a better option than what Miami has and he could come cheaper than most guards the Heat will eye on the market.
