Many Miami Heat fans are clamoring for the team to choose Shabazz Napier in Thursday’s NBA Draft, anointing him as the replacement for fan-piñata Mario Chalmers.
However, that might not be an option at No .26 anymore. Napier’s stock has risen to the point that he has accepted an invitation to Brooklyn that night.
As further proof of how far Shabazz Napier’s stock has risen: He’s accepted an invite to green room for NBA Draft, source tells Yahoo.

Players invited in the green room are expected to go somewhere in the lottery, and it seems less likely that the 22-year-old point guard from UConn will slip enough for Miami to have a shot at him.
Other point guards that could be available for the Heat at No. 26 include Nevada’s Deonte Burton, the Serbian League’s Vasilije Micic and Missouri’s Jordan Clarkson. Although those three are considered second rounders.
If Napier isn’t available, the Heat would likely opt to go in another direction by drafting a wing or big man. Or, of course, whoever the Knicks want.
