News that LeBron James has opted out of his contract with the Miami Heat to test free agency for the second time in his career has led to a domino effect in South Beach. The lynchpin was always LeBron and now that he’s heading to the open market, the rest of the Big 3 are making their next decisions.
For Chris Bosh, who was always a threat to opt out, that decision is to test free agency as well. According to Joe Kotoch of Pro Basketball Draft, Bosh will likely opt out of his deal which leaves Dwyane Wade with a mighty decision to make.
A league source believes Chris Bosh will opt out but is not sure Wade will. “Bosh can still get a max deal, D-Wade no way.”

This could all be posturing by the Big 3 to force Miami to get them the help they needed in 2013-14 before they agree to return. But of the Big 3, Bosh has always been the likeliest to leave and opting out of his deal may be the last time we see him associated with the Miami Heat.
As for Wade, he’s a broken toy with no place to go and the Heat are really the only team that he would play for or who would want him in a prominent role on their roster.
