The Miami Heat are going through some major changes at the moment as they’ve watched their Big 3 all opt out of their deals and move on to free agency. Of course, the idea is that at least two of the three are coming back but the bottom line is this is a mildly uncertain time for the Heat.
LeBron James isn’t making life easier for Heat fans as his uncertainty about his future is causing headaches and ulcers all over South Beach. The list of teams set to pursue LeBron James is long, even if only a handful have a chance, but that’s not stopping some of the lesser teams from making pitches.
According to Brian Schmitz of The Orlando Sentinel, the Orlando Magic will be placing a call and attempting to make a pitch to James’ camp on Tuesday.
The Magic believe in LeBron James and are expected to place a call to LeBron’s camp. The courting period begins Tuesday.
Laugh if you want, but Hennigan has a duty to place that call. Wouldn’t you love to be a fly on the wall to hear that conversation?
Selling points for the Magic to LeBron:
• You don’t have to leave the state.
• Orlando has Disney and better family attractions for your kids.
• You love kids, and that’s all you’d have for teammates.
• Victor Oladipo has more working body parts than Dwyane Wade.
Yeah, LeBron isn’t going to listen to the Magic’s pitch. But it’s good practice for free agency, 2015.
While the Rockets, Bulls, Warriors, Mavericks, Heat and even the Knicks are trying to sell LeBron on winning, the Magic are going with the vacation package as an offer.
