Cleveland Cavaliers at the Bottom of LeBron James Free Agency List

The Miami Heat are trying to re-sign LeBron James, or at least get him to lower his asking price by putting together a great roster, but they aren’t the only team who wants to make a run at signing the best player on the planet.

According to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, the Cleveland Cavaliers want to get LeBron James back but he doesn’t want to go back, putting his former team at the bottom of his free agent list.

Responding to a fan question about the Cleveland Cavaliers signing LeBron James, Kyler gave the following answer.

The Cavs are not getting LeBron James… so you can speculate on the 90 things you can say, but the Cavs are light years away from a championship and that’s all that matters to LeBron.

Off all the teams that could get LeBron the Cavs are likely last on the list. Focus on what you have and that’s a promising young team. LeBron has moved on, so should you.

This shouldn’t come as that big of a surprise as the Cavaliers have little chance of landing any  major free agent, let alone the best one on the market. Perhaps they put together a better push next offseason but this summer isn’t looking too good for the Cavs and even if LeBron leaves Miami it won’t be to return home.
